Mount Moosilauke ATV club (MMATVC) was founded in 2002 in response to the Town Selectmen closing the trails and roads in Warren, NH to all OHRVs. In a town of 800+/- people, over 200 showed up at the next Selectmen's meeting. It was agreed that without a club and some structure to the trail system that there was a fair amount of "outlaw" riding going on. They agreed to reopen the trails and land based on a trial basis if a club was formed and the trails were signed, maintained and patrolled.
Setting up the club, while no easy task, has led to some great times with some excellent people.
We had many local trail work parties and try very hard to make your riding here fun. We've had a lot of help in the past from New Durham Valley ATV Club, Sullivan County ATV Club, and New Hampshire ATV Club. Many of our club members belong to all three.
Remember the Selectmen I told you about at the begining of this letter? We have done such a good job in town that they and the local police have written letters of recommendation to other towns thinking of opening roads to ATVs. We have come a long way and it is all thanks to great members!..................
